Accommodation and furniture store in one: In the “Story Hotel” you can buy the interior.
Many hotels want to tell a story. Just being a hotel, a house with standard breakfast and a solid location, that’s not enough today. In the case of famous houses like the “Adlon” in Berlin or the “Ritz” in Paris, the story being told is one’s own. But what story does a hotel say that is called “Story Hotel”? Probably the one night there gives an idea of what the hotel life of the future might look like.
This begins with the online booking, after which you get the room code sent to your mobile phone. There is no reception in the “Story Hotel”, just a dark, plant-lined corridor that you enter as if you were entering a residential building. This was the building in the district of Östermalm before the former tenants Robert Hållstrand and Andreas Philipson turned it into a hotel. The elevator speaks phrases on every floor – Swedish some, other books or songs taken – and is a lack of other social contacts soon as a comrade.
